Serendipity 2 is a U3A group of 20 members who meet on the last Thursday of each
month to experience a range of different things. The actual definition of serendipity
is ‘the fact of finding interesting or valuable things by chance’, so although events are
planned in advance and not left to chance, we always have an interesting and
enjoyable time!

Events this year have included an afternoon tea and quiz at a member’s house, a
talk by traveller and local author Rosemary Lee, a trip to Boscastle Pottery and then
tea at Boscastle Farm Shop, a visit to Charlie Bear’s in Launceston and an afternoon
get together at a beach hut at Crooklets.

Future events will include a walk and talk about the canal, a pottery throwing and
decorating experience, an introduction to bowls and trying out the pitch and putt
course – there are so many things to do in and around Bude!

The group is full at the moment and I have a waiting list – if you are interested, I will
add your name to it.
