Chris Raven’s photo is obviously an old boiler but its location is very interesting. For those who know Madeira, it can be found beyond the Lido area after you have gone down the steps to and through the rock tunnel leading onto Praia Formosa beach. It is sitting there just after exiting the tunnel hence the lower part of the rock cliff. It was probably deposited by one of the big storms pounding the beach there. After all it is the Atlantic Ocean as here in Bude.
