Open Monthly Meeting – Herbal Medicine for the Third Age

Bude & District U3A holds 10 OPEN MONTHLY MEETINGS a year with a Speaker. These are held at 2.30pm at the Parkhouse Centre, Bude on the 3rd Thursday of every month except October (our Annual General Meeting) and December (our Christmas Festivity).

The OPEN MONTHLY MEETINGS are free and include refreshments.

Visitors are welcome to come along to a meeting to see what we do and to decide whether they would like to join us.

Herbal Medicine for the Third Age  by Linda Moran

This talk explores the wonderful world of plant medicine focusing on how plants from the hedgerow, garden and kitchen cupboard can be used to support common health problems and improve health and wellbeing in the golden years. We will discuss the medical herbalist’s approach and also focus on how an individual can use some of these plant remedies in the home safely and effectively.

Linda Moran BSc, MNIMH is a local medical herbalist and runs clinics from the Neetside Community Centre, Bude and The Treatment Room , Holsworthy. She has been in practice for 17 years and is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH).  She runs herbal medicine workshops and herb walks throughout Cornwall for Adult Education.
