GARDENING GROUP: SEPTEMBER 2019

DOCTON MILL

On this kind-weather day twenty of us met at the tea room in Docton Mill garden, Hartland for our pre-ordered delicious lunches, some sitting inside & some outside.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  Three other members visiting the garden only.

After our lunch and catching up with friends, we set off for a very enjoyable walk to explore the garden situated in a valley with many mature trees, a stream and a very large lawn with herbaceous borders along two sides full of beautiful varied plants in very colourful flowers.

Trees were set along one side of the stream, and along the other side were many wild plants.  There was also a short woodland footpath along the attractive tumbling stream.

The tearoom was available for refreshments after our garden walk.
