Annual Reports
OUR OPEN MONTHLY MEETINGS & COFFEE MORNING
As a member you are able to attend all of our Open Monthly Meetings, which are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the Parkhouse Centre, Bude, starting promptly at 2.30 pm.
The October meeting is our Annual General Meeting where we listen to the Chairman's annual report, elect our new Committee, etc. Please come along to cast your vote.
The December meeting is our Christmas Festivity (details of this will be in our newsletter).
New members will receive a warm welcome and introduction so don't worry about coming on your own as you will always find someone to talk to. Committee members will be wearing badges to identify themselves and the Membership Secretary will always be available to help with any queries.
We have a full and varied speaker programme throughout the year which should appeal to all interests. The Speaker will be followed by our notices and administrative business presented by the Chairman and then free refreshments are available.
You will be able to find out about up-coming theatre trips and make your bookings at the Theatre Group table at the back of the hall.
A book exchange table will also be available on a 'bring one, take one' basis. However, if there are plenty of books, you may want to take 2 or 3!
Please try to pick up your quarterly newsletter at the August, November, February and May meetings if you possibly can, as this will save our postage bill.
On the Information table, you will find our 'Red Book' containing the minutes of the last 6 Committee meetings, a folder containing our newspaper articles and a Suggestion Box.
A Community Liaison table is often present, attended by one of our long-standing members who keeps us up to date with all local information and projects.
In addition to the OMMs, a monthly Coffee Morning is held at the Weir Café, Bude, on the first Friday of each month, from 10.30 am. All members are welcome, especially new members who can find out more about the Groups that they may be interested in joining.
Potential members are also welcome and it is a friendly and informal way of finding out if the u3a is for you.
