MEETING AT STRATTON CAR PARK AT 09:30am TO TRAVEL TO DARTMOOR YARNER WOODS to meet 11:00am (possibly at the Car Park at Yarner Woods, tbc)
We will be visiting Yarner Woods and Trendlebere Down (Bovey Tracy), which is near Haytor. The key bird species to observe are Pied Flycatcher, Dartford Warbler and, if we are really lucky, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and whole range of woodland and heathland birds. Yarner Woods is an SSSI and is also home to Buzzards, Sparrow Hawks and Nightjars. Appropriate clothing and boots for Dartmoor essential!
Bring a picnic. A detailed route and meeting place for those driving direct will be sent out nearer the time.
