Open Monthly Meeting

Bude & District U3A holds 10 OPEN MONTHLY MEETINGS a year with a Speaker. These are held at 2.30pm at the Parkhouse Centre, Bude on the 3rd Thursday of every month except October (our Annual General Meeting) and December (our Christmas Festivity).
The OPEN MONTHLY MEETINGS are free and include refreshments.
Visitors are welcome to come along to a meeting to see what we do and to decide whether they would like to join us.
The Speaker for this month’s meeting is Rosemary Lee, and her presentation will be on Touring Tibet
Rosemary will begin with some geographical and historical background of Tibet and then explain the current political situation with China, before moving on to the basics of Tibetan Bhuddism.
The talk will be interspersed with pictures of the landscapes and wildlife, and also of the people and their typical foods.
Rosemary hopes to include some information and pictures from her upcoming trip – which is visiting parts of historic Tibet currently not included in the Autonomous Region, and especially attending the horse festival on the grasslands.
